Sensortine™ LIBS

Real-Time Soil Composition Sensing

The LIBS module extends the capability of the MPT platform beyond moisture, enabling real-time measurement of soil composition directly within the seeding process.

Using Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS), the system analyses the elemental makeup of soil in-furrow, providing insight into key properties such as nutrient levels, carbon content, and soil variability, at the exact point of seed placement.

In-furrow elemental analysis:

Measures soil composition where the seed is placed, not from averaged or remote datasets.

Real-time sensing at field scale:

Captures thousands of data points per hectare during normal seeding operations.

High-resolution soil mapping:

Identifies variability in nutrients and soil condition across the paddock with unmatched spatial detail.

Integrated with seeding workflow:

Operates automatically during seeding, with no additional passes or manual sampling required.

Platform-ready for advanced agronomy:

Enables future integration of nutrient-based prescriptions, carbon mapping, and adaptive input strategies.

What It Enables:

The Sensortine LIBS system transforms the seeder into a mobile soil laboratory, unlocking a new layer of data that has never been available at this scale or resolution.
