MPT.ag

Semi Autonomous Seeding

As agriculture moves towards an autonomous future, MPT.ag is building semi autonomous seeding equipment to better deal with naturally occuring variabilities within Soil, and in Climate.

Established in 2018, MPT.ag is primarily focused on the key objective of uniform crop establishment.

Using an combination of in-furrow soil sensors and other ag datasets, combined with an onboard data analytics suite, and a fully electro-hydraulic seeding platform, we are using this knowledge in real time while planting to increase crop yields.

The Technology

By overlaying data sets such as Soil Maps, NDVI, and Yield Maps, and Ground-Truthing this data using onboard sensors, the technology enables a prescription seeding outcome customised to the specific requirements of the soil at any given location.

Using this comprehensive data in the form of a shape-file, into the electro-hydraulic ISOBUS controlled seeder, the seeder seemlessly adjusts various apects of the mechanical aspects of the machine to ensure seed placement is optimised to achieve uniform germination across the entire field.
